What is Project 2021?
Over the course of this year, I am trying to tell a story between all of my games. While you do not need to play any prior or following games to enjoy this, the lore does build. Can you piece together the story that is being told?
Canon Games (2021):
- Out Of Time
- Armor Of God
- Death Percent
- Rouge Royale
- A Name Is Earned
- Last Man Standing
- Joining Forces
- Second Son
- Death Percent 2
- Journey to Hell
- A Drunk Thief Returns
- From the Ashes
Canon Games (Post-Challenge):
- On Thin Ice
- Static Lifeline
- In The Walls
- Against All Odds
- Back From The Brink
- You Picked The Wrong Castle
- Expedition of Extinction
- 16 Bit Arcade
- Built To Scale Mountains
Known issues:
- The AI can be buggy and loves to get stuck on walls.
- Sometimes the game will end while 1 enemy still remains alive.
- No tutorial.
Make for the 7 day Rogue Like Game Jam.

Best tip. Run till they kill each other.(Watch out for ammo, and the spread of some guns make things annoying.) Personally, I prefer one close range,(like sword, or shotgun but the former doesn't have ammo reqs) and one long range(One with ~40 damage), oh, also I wish ammo was more freely available. and maybe some sort of aim helper on some guns?(like a laser.) Makes it easy to distinguish.
So this is part of the cannon?
Yes but in a weird way.
I tried to make it clear on the "How to Play" and "Win Screen" but this is supposed to be a training simulator to help prepare them. This game is one I want to revisit in the future to clarify some things. I think it also has a lot of potential (both narratively and gameplay wise) but needs a bit more work.
Does that answer your question?
Yep. i need to go back to read them I guess
I've learned a lot about storytelling this past year, mainly not to hide critical lore info in the tutorial text. As the games advance the story (hopefully) becomes more clear.
Cool. I also need to actually beat that level. lol
