i managed to get the drunk mastermind rank with a score of 15970. can you tell me what the ranks are in order?

(+1)

Sure!

0-999 : World's Biggest Light-Weight

1,000 - 1,999 : 15-to-20 for being a lightweight

2,000 - 2,999 : I blacked out, where am I?

3,000 - 3,999 : It's their fault for not being home

4,000 - 4,999 : Drunk Lock Picking isn't easy

5,000 - 5,999 : I let them catch me. It was only fair

6,000 - 6,999 : At lease I got away with the alarm clocks

7,000 - 7,999 : Destroyer of Cats

8,000+ : Drunk Mastermind

so 1:why dont you steal beer in all heists?

and 2:what would be the rank for 15970?

1) We made this for a game jam over a year ago and we didn't have time to add that as a bonus score sort of thing, instead picking up objects makes you more drunk as you have to balance with more weight. The team has talked about working on it again but never actually has since the public break-ins update (which bug fixed and added more maps).

2) You would be a Drunk Mastermind!

well what i meant is if you were to give such a ridiculously high score a new rank what would it be?

Nice game, I think it would be interesting to see what more mechanics you can add. I would try to hone in on the feeling of trying to sneak around and the cartoony nature of the art and mechanics. For example, the music is alright, but since we're trying to sneak around not cause noise I think the loud music doesn't help in that. As for the cartoony nature, maybe more cartoony sprites for the objects, and a increased variety of sound effects. Definitely a lot of opportunities here.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely take the art and music suggestions into consideration if I continue working on this project. If I recall correctly, part of the reason we went with loud music is because everything was suppose to be from the perspective of the Thief, both being drunk and trying to sneak makes everything super loud. Think of that one episode of SpongeBob where he's trying to sneak around and every step is like a bomb going off. I can try to communicate that more clearly to the player or just take your consideration and quite down the music. Thanks again for the feedback! If you have any specific ideas for mechanics, I'd love to hear them!

Fantastic game, especially for the simplicity that it offers. The controls are simple, but effectively frustrating, the music is enjoyable and unobtrusive, and the simple yet witty comedy mixed into the game makes this a lighthearted and enjoyable experience, even when you lose!

Definitely enjoyed this one bud!

Great game! Love the thief's movements. Definitely a cool concept and I feel like it was pulled off pretty well.

The music also adds quite a bit to the full experience - Brenna killed it!

The drunken movement was novel, though the difficulty I had in the game wasn't the movement/noise level, but the time limits. I rarely had enough time to even go around the house to find the items I was required to get before the cops showed up.

An idea for the late game could be some kinds of set dressing story. For example, a drunken bar fight, but the people you're fighting actually fly away and explode like the cats.

Another idea would be alarm systems or gaurds. That could be fun.

I like the art and the idea! Also having the play button teleport a few times was a nice touch. I was a bit confused about what the consequences of the sound actually were (or I just never got near filling the bar, which might have had a consequence). I couldn't really avoid hitting the cats since they block doorways. One time I hit a bug where the advance button didn't work so I got stuck, but I went through again and got further.

Very intersting game idea. It's cool to see the thief getting out of control.

A drunk effect like a rotating screen or so would be very nice!

Thank for for the feedback, i'll definitely test out a rotating screen effect to see if it works well with the current game-play!

I broke the game after redoing the game over again, the second level I could break out of the camera and then the drunken thief just froze..

Very interesting game and like the concept. I thought I had more controls, but I couldn't move the cats out of the way in the doorway path.

Very nice mechanics, interesting concept and definitely push me out of control being buzzed and hungover. I've become the destroyers of cat!

Neat idea, though a bit more sway to the character would be nice, rather than teleporting.

Thank you for the feedback. I will look into doing the character sway for future updates!
