Rogue Royal is my biggest regret from the challenge. In terms of gameplay it's not great, the story is confusing, and overall is something I very much want to remake but am stopping myself from doing for various reasons. The 'How to play' menu explains that it's a training simulator but I think most people miss that.
"From the Ashes" (Game 12) should clarify much of your confusion when you get to that one.
Interesting concept, I enjoyed the power boost mechanic, it makes you keep moving constantly in the search of an enemy, and the mechanics around it (grouping low HP enemies with a high HP one) is a nice idea!
I would suggest looking into the enemy AI, I've found some cases where the archers get stuck in the walls.

i think the secret ending is broken, its just a black screen
i think i might have an idea of who the Knight from Out Of Time is after playing this.
the Knight = Benetton
Edit: that would also mean Benetton is the guy with the gun in Rogue Royale, so not so sure anymore.
Edit 2: Just played Last Man Standing, apparently there is multiple. There is a blonde hair guy and somebody else.

I'll look into the AI! AI programming has never really been my strong suit, so I'll see what I can do!
